ABOUT ME Engineer, leader, and coach. I’ve worked across games & tech including working on Minecraft, Halo Infinite, Xbox, Riot R&D, Windows, and more. I genuinely love seeing great games go out to fans and equally am passionate about helping everyone around me be happy and successful. WHAT I DO As an engineering leader: • Help my team succeed by supporting them in owning their work, establishing clear outcomes, and enabling them to creatively pursue those outcomes. • Drive for clarity in objectives and roadmaps to enable predictable results with early warnings if we are off track. • Develop talent to succeed through a coaching approach to development. I build personal responsibility and agency into my teams so they can succeed, and I am not a roadblock. • Empower my team to achieve their goals by facilitating their plan rather than dictating mine. • Work with partners to collectively balance competing priorities to find the shared outcomes required for success, ensuring more impactful work is done and frequently saving substantial effort. As a coach: • Bring my formal ICF coaching training to each session and treating my clients as whole, capable, and creative. • Leverage my professional experience to influence questions, teachings, and program direction to ensure valuable outcomes. • Help high-empathy leaders understand how to use their empathy without exhausting themselves. • Teach frameworks for thinking about how hiring teams approach their side of the interview to better prepare my client. • Focus on long-term development of my clients with the focus of them not just succeeding in the moment, but having the tools they need for the future. WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT I genuinely became a leader and coach so I could help make the workplace better. It is well known that as an industry, we have more work to do to improve the work environment for our people’s health and productivity. I help people thrive despite that gap. My bet is that by helping more high-empathy individuals find their way to thriving in leadership, I am doing my part in helping bring about a better future for the technology industry. On top of this dedication, I have worked on games, big tech, and at startups. I don’t have to stretch to discuss how things work in practice, I’ve been there, so I have real world examples to pull from. This helps me challenge & teach my clients in an informed manner.
