About Lori Purnell

With experience bridging 5 decades in health, safety, and environmental compliance, I am founder and principal engineer at Spencer-SHE, a certified women business enterprise. We provide consulting and training services to various industries. As a registered professional engineer, I have the credentials and the competencies to design and implement integrated regulatory compliance programs, process improvements, root cause analysis and loss mitigation strategies for our clients. My mission is to help our clients prevent and eliminate potential compliance concerns and ancillary liabilities by adopting a risk-based approach to all production-related operations. I also develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing continuous improvement programs and training, customized for site-specific needs and challenges. One of my expertises is hazardous waste and materials management. I have contributed to numerous technical publications through EPA, and OSHA related programs. Also am editor and principal author of texts that serve as references for environmental health and safety training for workers and emergency responders.
