About Loris Riva

Completed my university career in Economics at L. Bocconi University, Milan, I have developed my skills and competences in the supply chain, operations and logistics. I have covered both technical and managerial roles inside planning organizations, working for more that ten years in large multinational companies operating in the semiconductor industry: among them STMicroelectronics, Numonyx and Micron. Other than in Italy, I have had the possibility to work for almost 2 years in France: one year I have covered an accounting/credit control role at Rip Curl Europe (surf industry) in the South West region, while the second year as Planning and Logistics Specialist at Praxair Electronics, in the industrial area of Grenoble. I have been exposed to organizations and people located in different geographical area, such as Europe, South-East Asia, Japan and US. I have developped strong skills and competencies in planning engines like I2 and SAP-APO, teamwork capabilities such as communication, mediation, negotiation and leadership, cross-fertilization with other departments like Manufacturing, Q&R, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. I have had an active role in cross-functional project teams to re-design, prototype, go-live, stabilization and trainer for the new supply chain integrated model during Micron acquisition. During the years, several international experiences and missions in locations like US, Singapore, Philippines and Japan: very challenging and exciting the 3 months (February to May 2014) spent in Japan to support the supply chain integration of Elpida, a large Japanese memory competitor. English and French fluent, I succeeded to get APICS Certification during 2005. I am looking for opportunities in Supply Chain and Operations, both in Italy and foreign. One of the main motivation driving my search is to leverage my background, skills and competencies in environments and industries other than semiconductor and microelectronics
