About Lorne Dunn

I have been a longtime partner at HSJ, having returned to my hometown to practice law after spending a number of years in Vancouver for school. It's important for me to remain active in the professional community, being a guest legal speaker to a number legal and insurance organizations, the past president of the Prince George Bar Association, and a previous director of the B.C. Law Institute. I am now also very involved with the important work of the Prince George Community Foundation, and am proud to sit on their board of directors and on the governance committee. My dedication to the north and to the practice of law was encouraged by my appointment in 2013 as Queen's Counsel for my legal work, and I was gratified that the BC Ministry of Justice drew attention to my work with ICBC "for some of their most complex litigation including under-insured motorists' protection coverage, serious brain injury and fraud cases." I am motivated by helping people to solve their legal issues and challenges and I enjoy meeting interesting people through the course of my work. I am most at home when legal issues are significant and complex, and I love nothing more than to get my clients the result that they deserve.
