With over 40 years of experience, I am an accomplished, results-oriented senior financial manager with a proven track record in auditing, financial reporting, risk management, accounting, and consulting services. I am skilled in the analysis of existing systems, identification of risks and control gaps, identification of redundancies, and implementation of enhanced processes to improve business results. I am able to serve as an internal business consultant to senior management and Board of Directors to minimize risk, improve internal controls, and ensure regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Specialties: My primary focus in external auditing was financial services, but as a consultant I have worked with pharmaceutical distributors, software developers, broker-dealers, and computer services companies. I have worked on many SOX engagements, and developed internal audit departments for public companies. I have also led the internal audit departments of a government entity, a consumer finance company, and an oil and gas exploration company.
