About Louie Mitchell

I have always had a huge passion for games, film and media and I've been tinkering with the technology behind them for as long as I can remember. My love of videogames coupled with my interest in playing with the latest, greatest technology and solving the most interesting puzzles, paved my way into an education and career in the games industry.I have been working in the industry for over 14 years now as a Level Designer / Technical Designer. During this time, I have worked my way up to a Principal position and undertaken various leadership positions as well. The roles have allowed me to use the creative side of my brain to design, build and bring game worlds to life, whilst also testing my problem solving skills and technical abilities in scripting and implementing them in various engines.Outside of work I love to learn. I like sitting down to a documentary, taking up an online training course or diving into the latest release of Unity or Unreal. I've usually got a prototype mechanic or game idea on the go and I've also rekindled my love of skateboarding in the last few years!
