I’m Louis Siu, an Artistic and Creative Director with a passion for contemporary performance and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. As the Executive Artistic Director of Toolbox Percussion, I thrive on creating cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary projects that engage audiences in innovative ways. My expertise spans event planning, arts administration, grant writing, governance, and fundraising, allowing me to navigate the dynamic landscape of the arts with a focus on creativity and collaboration. I am particularly interested in cultural diplomacy and how the arts can bridge gaps between diverse communities, fostering understanding and dialogue on a global scale. Currently, I am engaged with the Southbank Centre as a Creative Fellow (Clore), where I contribute to the development of the innovative multi-artform festival, Multitudes. Additionally, my commitment to the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) enables me to further explore global artistic networks and cultural exchange. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of curating and producing projects recognized at prestigious venues worldwide, including the National Asian Culture Center in Gwangju, Korea, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the Chinese Cultural Centre San Francisco, and the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field in Japan. In Hong Kong, I’ve collaborated with notable institutions such as the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, Tai Kwun Arts, and Oi! Street Art Space, as well as corporate projects with organizations like Swire Properties, Henderson Land, Sun Hung Kai Properties, and Chow Tai Fook. With a strong network of industry professionals, I am dedicated to creating immersive cultural experiences that resonate deeply with audiences.
