About Luca Onofri

Implementing the new technology in a historical environment requires the right mindset and skillset as well as great perseverance School education and multidisciplinary work experience in the fields of electronics, mechanics, automation and process control, information technology, communications networks, modeling and mechatronics. Work experience in computer systems, in the modeling of mechanical systems, in the maintenance and design of industrial automation systems as well as in the commissioning of complex systems. Knowledge and experience in the field of sensors and actuators, AC-DC drives, field bus communications technologies, special equipment (thickness RX, flatness, optical inspection, thermal analysis, etc.), in systems based on PLC-SCADA, in mathematical models, in process control, in plant monitoring and energy collection, in product quality management systems, in production scheduling and in European research and development projects. In particular, the experience was gained in the design, commissioning and maintenance of the automatic and regulation systems for production plants in steelworks, in particular for hot rolling, in rolling and cold treatment plants and in company services. Particular knowledge in the control systems of the belt profile and flatness, in the optimization of production, in energy saving and in "fault detection - problem solving". Experience in European projects as project managers for research and development applied to industry in command and control.
