About Luca Rizza

My name is Luca Rizza, I am an Aerospace Engineering senior at Florida Tech with a focus on Astronautics. I have experience with systems engineering, CFD, computational techniques (MATLAB/C++), and team management. I am interested in working on Aerospace and Mechanical applications in systems engineering, control systems, and composite manufacturing and testing. Throughout my time at Florida Tech, I have worked as a systems engineer for the Capstone project DISARM (Debris in Space Autonomous Removal Mechanism), and have experience with wind tunnel and composite testing. I am also the Lead Engineer for two projects with Novus Research Group, a team of students and alumni from Florida Tech selected for a rotation at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah. Having been born in Italy, later moving to the Dominican Republic, I have become fluent in three languages (Italian, Spanish, and English) and have vast multicultural experience (currently pursuing a Cultural Competency Certificate). This allows me to work well with people of all backgrounds and lead diverse teams to success. I am seeking to apply the skills I have learned in a summer internship or part-time position.
