About Lucia Pelloni

I currently work as a Clinical Research Associate, mainly remotely but traveling a lot, for a Contract Research Organization whose italian headquarters is in Milan. I graduated in Pharmacy with a research thesis conducted in Ireland at the University College of Cork on pharmacology and pharmacotherapy. I have a strong willingness to face challenges and an attitude to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment gained during my Erasmus+ experience in Spain at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. These international experiences have not only enriched my university career, but also my personality by reinforcing the scientific interest in those products that can improve global health and reduce the social impact of diseases. For this reason, thanks to a Internship in a Hospital Pharmacy and a 2nd level Master, I achieved a multidisciplinary approach and the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge base regarding risk assessment and monitoring of adverse effects associated with a medical treatment, supply and management of medicines consumption and cost monitoring, development and writing of protocols and I am currently a Clinical Research Associate, in charge of managing about 15 clinical trials from II to IV phase in multiple therapeutic areas (Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Neurology), in Europe and beyond. Working with several different health institutions, I have project and networking management oriented skills, including budgeting, managing contracts, effective communication, critical thinking, networking and problem solving. I am very familiar with the health care architecture working with the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), under the direction of the Ministry of Health, the local healthcare authorities (ASL), hospitals and scientific institutes for research, hospitalisation and healthcare (IRCCS), in accordance with ICH/GCP, local regulations and SOPs and I am in charge of delivering trainings, both for colleagues and for partners. I am a highly organized, enthusiastic and versatile person with strong collaboration skills to best support patients. I speak fluent Italian, English and Spanish. My values and my deep interest are in the reduction of social impact of disease believing that ensuring all citizens, regardless of socio economic conditions, primary health services and lifesaving medicines must be guaranteed.
