About Lucy Bradley

I am a 2019 Durham University graduate, with a 2:1 in BA Sociology. Encompassed within this degree course, I completed an 'Inside-Out' prison programme, gaining insight into the motivations and shortcomings within the criminal justice system. My dissertation, on the gender pay gap, focused on the criminal justice and education system, from the perspective of elite women, highlighting the complete antithesis. I seized opportunities to develop my knowledge of people from different backgrounds, in order to prepare me for a client facing role. These skills have been honed by my volunteering experience in Peru, working with people of all ages, ethnic and social backgrounds, providing the practical experience, and motivation for my degree. These experiences have developed my individual and teamwork skills, through personal determination and simultaneously working with others to achieve a group goal. Furthermore, my teamwork and individual working abilities have been tested throughout my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, playing in and captaining a university lacrosse team, rowing for my college at Durham and actively participating in assessed group and individual drama performances. My secondary education at the Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, London not only inspired an exceptional work ethic, but also highlighted the importance of being a well rounded individual.A particular highlight was competing with The Holles Singers, in several 'Choir of the Year' competitions and performances, ranging from; St Mark's Basilica to Ground Zero and the Royal Festival Hall. I have experience of working with children as a group co-ordinator for Barracudas activity day camps for several years and as a private babysitter/ nanny.
