About Lucy Stoddart

A dedicated Wildlife Conservationist, with a Master's Degree in Conservation Science (high Merit) and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology (First Class with Honours).I have worked in the British wildlife conservation sector for 7 years. Since completing my six-month MSc research project (supervised by the Environmental Officer of the Middle Level Commissioners), through which I successfully demonstrated the benefits of installing coir roll revetments for water voles in the Fenland Drains, I have worked as an Environmental Officer Assistant (six-month fieldwork contract), working on various wildlife conservation initiatives in the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Fens, undertaken a Wildlife Conservation Traineeship with the Wildlife Trust and now work as a Mammal Project Field Officer. Through my two degrees, my voluntary roles as President and Vice President of the Swansea University Conservation & Ecology Society, and the last 7 years of conservation work, I have gained a wide variety of practical and theoretical wildlife management and survey skills, as well as public engagement and outreach experience.
