About Luke Armitage

I currently work as an Industry Manager for a large process & engineering business operating globally in the bulk material handling sector. I regularly liaise with customers from all over the UK & Europe regarding all aspects of sales from technical system enquiries such as full turnkey packages, mechanical and pneumatic conveying/discharge systems (loading and un-loading), pumping applications, vacuum applications and single product sales from our extensive range of equipment. My primary role is to promote the company’s activities and product range within the defined territories which primarily involves sales representation, dealing with key customer accounts, dealing with technical enquiries, making commercial decisions, problem solving, marketing, territorial development and product development. I have experience with integrated computer systems such as SAP, Movex 10 & 11a, AutoCAD, Inventor 9 (3D modelling package), PageMaker, Frame Maker, Illustrator, Photoshop and all Microsoft office program’s. I am also qualified as a CNC programmer/setter/operator and am a very ‘hands on’ engineer and am not afraid of getting my hands dirty. I believe that having hands on ability helps when it comes to getting the job done. I am always looking for new and challenging projects to further develop my knowledge and industry experience which will give me the chance to learn new skills and develop through further experience/training. I consider myself a strong, healthy well-motivated individual that is as happy to work within a team as on my own. I enjoy the pressures of a challenge and am prepared to go the extra mile to achieve success.
