About Lynn Thomas

I am a 30 year veteran secondary school teacher. Currently, I am the Teacher Consultant of eLearning and have a strong background in educational technology having served as a Digital Lead Learner for 10+ years. I am committed to enhancing student learning by supporting other educators as evidenced in my work with ECOO (the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario), the Microsoft Educator’s program, and the HP Teaching Fellows. I write a blog at where I share how I actively try to make learning relevant, collaborate globally, & use ed-tech to transform, engage & increase accessibility & inclusivity. I have presented to audiences on topics including creating dynamic and engaging content for online learning, learner variability and UDL, accessible & inclusive design, eLearning, student voice, gamification, global projects and collaboration, AI in education, online learning, social-emotional learning, assessment and going gradeless, reading and neuroscience, as well as workshops on specific tools and platforms like Brightspace/D2L and the Microsoft suite of tools (Copilot, PowerPoint, Immersive Reader, etc.). I have shared these presentations and workshops both in-person and virtually at various conferences throughout Ontario. I am a passionate educator striving to make a positive impact on the world of education. I am endlessly curious and always learning to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and research in education.
