About MacKenzie Brown

Hello! I'm Mackenzie Brown, a current student in the Master’s program at the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to my studies, I'm working as a graduate assistant, assisting the University with professional development and outreach. While performing these duties, I will be studying Communication and Media with a focus in public relations and marketing. I held a solid academic record during undergrad, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media as well as minors in Marketing and Psychology. I consistently achieved a place on the Dean's and President's lists throughout my undergraduate career while also engaging in social endeavors such as sorority and club memberships. My professional journey includes experience as a Graduate Assistant, Social Media Assistant, Digital Storytelling and Content Strategy Intern, and Multimedia Journalism and Reporting Intern. My soft skills include communication, problem-solving, collaboration, reliable work ethic, and responsible time management. Additionally, I excel in hard skills such as writing, grammar, video editing, strategic marketing, social media management, and graphic design. I'm also proficient in apps such as Canva, CapCut Pro, Meta Business Suite, and Later. Let's connect!
