About Madison Walker

I’m a purpose-driven leader with a deep commitment to advancing women’s human rights and gender equality, in Aotearoa New Zealand, across the Pacific and around the world. As Director of UN Women Aotearoa NZ, I lead strategic initiatives in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy, aligning every effort with the UN Women mission to empower women and girls worldwide. With over a decade of experience across nonprofits, financial management, and communications, I bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to every role I step into. I’m passionate about building trusted partnerships, nurturing collaborative teams, and strengthening the visibility and sustainability of organisations I believe in. I’m currently completing a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy and hold governance credentials from the Institute of Directors. I also serve as a Trustee and Treasurer for marine conservation charity Our Seas Our Future, supporting both operational improvements and donor programme development.
