I’m a skilled intercultural communicator and researcher who can understand and adapt to different cultures. I'm successful in collaborating with diverse colleagues. By now my introverted side is already tired of talking about me, but really I’m talking about your organization and how I can help. I’ll draw on my extrovert capabilities now to share 5 me-highlights, and then I’ll take my introverted self to a quiet place to unwind. I got into cultural research while studying in Trinidad & Tobago during college and, even though I returned to living in the US, my heart has never left the dual-island Caribbean nation.(Bring on the doubles and the dal! I’m trying to perfect dal and rice – open to advice!) 2. I’m a servant-leader that prioritizes the needs of the team and the organization. I’m collaborative and like to build relationships with colleagues. I seek to make everyone feel respected, appreciated, and valued. I’m values-driven so I need to feel like my job is helping society. I am building a career that contributes to the social and cultural good. With >10 years of experience working with student-partners of all ages and backgrounds, I know how to explain complicated topics in consumable ways for diverse audiences. I like to understand how small tasks fit within an organization’s larger goals, and communicate this to team members to build understanding of how they contribute to the larger goals. I’ve traveled to Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, England, Hungary, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, & Canada. Future destinations? Central America, Asia & the Pacific Rim, Africa, and additional nations in the Caribbean, South America, & Europe.
