About Mahfooz Ul Haque

I received PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Central Punjab (UCP). Before joining UCP, I worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at the University of Lahore. I have a total of 13+ years of teaching and research experience (both BS and MS/PhD levels) in the Computer Science/Software Engineering departments at prestigious universities in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia. I am comfortable teaching computer Science, AI and Software Engineering courses. About research, I have 24+ publications in well-reputed journals and conferences and I was awarded Best Papers 4 times. My research areas revolve around modelling and reasoning smart spaces using context-aware systems. The focused research keywords are context-aware computing, multi-context systems, semantic knowledge modelling, reinforcement learning, rule-based reasoning multi-agents, smart environments, and modelling and verification of resource-bounded context-aware systems. About PhD/MS Thesis Supervision, one PhD student and 11 MS students have completed their research thesis under my supervision and one PhD student is pursuing his PhD work under my supervision. Significant Performance 1. Won two project grants from Pakistan National Grassroots ICT Research Initiative IGNITE-NGIRI, Pakistan. Won the Research Productivity Award 2021 at the University of Lahore, Pakistan. Presented as a Keynote Speaker ICTCC 2022 and ICCASA 2021. Severed as Publication Chair at INMIC 2023 Conference, Lahore, Pakistan. Served as Workshop Chair EAI ICCASA 2023 and ICTCC 2022. Served as Technical Program Committee Chair at ICTCC 2023.
