About Malcolm McKay

I am a Fourth-Year Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Human Resource, with a strong foundation in business and a deep commitment to fostering growth, community, and reconciliation. As a proud Indigenous person, I try to weave cultural values and traditions into every aspect of my professional and personal journey. My leadership experience spans multiple roles, but most recently serving as the Headperson of Traditions and Events for the Indigenous Business Student Society. In this role, I lead a team of 11 to plan and execute impactful events that this year focus on celebrating connection and diversity. In 2025, I will contribute as a Board Member for the Community Arts Mentorship Program, and also will be a fiddle mentor this summer to aspiring musicians and share my 17-year passion for the fiddle. With experience in leadership, strategic planning, and cultural advocacy, I strive to inspire meaningful change. Whether creating inclusive spaces, empowering others, or finding innovative solutions, I am driven by values of growth, inclusion, and lifelong learning. I am always open to opportunities that align with these values and support building stronger communities.
