Over 20 years of senior financial, commercial and corporate services leadership experience in a number of large complex geographically dispersed and often capital intensive organisations in both the private and public sectors and in a range of industries – minerals processing; mining; petrochemicals; commodities marketing; infrastructure; healthcare; energy; education; community safety. Gained and applied knowledge and experience both in Australia and internationally in the areas of leadership and team development; organisation change management; strategic planning and implementation; investment analysis; budgeting and forecasting; business performance analysis and reporting; cost control; commercial negotiations; risk management; treasury; procurement and contracting; ICT management; taxation; statutory reporting; and corporate governance. Supported Boards, MDs/CEOs/DGs/Commissioners and Executive Committees with sound advice; provided leadership to teams which resulted in improved individual and collective performance; worked closely with peers to maintain focus on achieving a common purpose; and demonstrated an ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Participated in major greenfield and brownfield developments; led significant commercial contract negotiations; been prominent in a number of successful ERP implementations; and played a key role in corporate funding, off-balance sheet financing, acquisitions and divestments. Holder of two degrees from the University of Tasmania - a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Commerce.
