About Manik Sharma

I am working in the Skin Care portfolio of Himalaya's Consumer Product Division, responsible for the brand management in the face wash category. Prior to that, I was managing the Deep Cleansing portfolio comprising of the brands like Himalaya Packs, Scrubs, Wipes, Sheet Masks, etc. I started my journey at Himalaya with my sales stint in Punjab, handling various projects to support the sales team of the region. I have completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai in 2021 after scoring 99.23%ile in CAT'18. I did my major in Marketing Management and took Business Consulting as my minor. During my 2 year PDGM program, I did my corporate internship with Himalaya Wellness Company. There, I worked as a marketing intern and proposed a business plan to launch OTC products into the market. My work was appreciated and I was able to secure PPO in terms of full-time employment. Prior to that, I have worked as an Account Manager in SHV Energy (Supergas) for 22 months and was responsible for Business Development and Retention of the industrial LPG sector of the state of Uttarakhand. I generated leads and sales by consulting various international, national, and local clients on customized energy solutions. Working with cross-functional teams sprouted in me the qualities of team management and project planning. I have done my graduation in Chemical Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar (NITJ) and for my consistent performance among the top-ranked students in the batch, I was able to land an internship at India's best research university in the field of science, IISc Bangalore. I believe in simple living and high thinking and perhaps this is the reason that I have always been identified by my peers as one of the most trustworthy, humble and logical persons.
