About Mara Velez

I am the principal learning and organizational change consultant at Argos Behavior Change and Learning and Development Consultant with MACM Consulting. With over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I lead teams in designing and launching patient-focused initiatives and organizational change interventions that contribute to improved customer engagement, and provider and patient satisfaction. I work with some of the largest pharmaceutical company brand and managed care and customer operations functions. During these engagements, I creates account management, sales, and field-based learning platforms with competency-based curricula improving the effectiveness of field-based leaders and teams. I have also developed learning interventions and process improvements in other industries including banking, construction, telecom, not-for-profit, and higher education for learners at all levels, from entry-level positions to knowledgeable leaders and managers. When not working on a managed markets strategic initiative, I am improving animal welfare in shelters around the world through my work as the the founder and executive director of the Shelter Playgroup Alliance Our not-for-profit organization provides education to animal shelters that improves the lives of the animals in their care.
