About Marc Taub

I am Vice President of Technical Operations for Abbott’s diabetes care and biowearables businesses, overseeing global research and development, medical affairs, and clinical affairs. I have played a key role in pioneering biowearables like the FreeStyle Libre portfolio, world-leading glucose monitoring technology that has transformed care for people living with diabetes. This same technology powers Lingo, a consumer biowearable designed to help users track glucose for healthier habits and overall well-being. And now that technology is being used to develop Abbott’s first-of-its-kind dual glucose-ketone monitoring system for people with diabetes. I am a published researcher and holder of numerous patents. I am also a member of Abbott’s prestigious Volwiler Society, a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and master’s and doctorate degrees from Stanford University.
