About Marcel Nold

Biosketch After completing the course of medical studies at the J.W. Goethe University at Frankfurt am Main in I commenced medical residency at the Department of Pediatrics at the Hospital of the J.W. Goethe University. This tenure comprised clinical as well as research rotations, the latter in collaboration with the Pharmazentrum Frankfurt. In 2006, I obtained a Research Fellowship from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and relocated to the laboratory of Charles Dinarello at the University of Colorado Denver. After having worked there in a group leader position for 3 years, my team and I were recruited to the Ritchie Centre at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia, to establish our own laboratory focused on translational immunology. Here, I have headed a research group as Associate Professor and Senior Scientist with support of Monash University's Larkins Fellowship. Moreover, I have held a clinical appointment as Fellow at Monash Newborn from 2009 to 2012 and have completed my clinical training in general pediatrics (board qualification in 2010) and neonatology (board qualification in 2012).
