About Marcelo Torres

As a Risk Manager at Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, I have over 25 years of combined experience in risk management and project management in the construction and telecommunications sectors. I hold the RMP and PMP certifications from PMI, and I have earned two MBA degrees from Fundação Getulio Vargas, one of the most prestigious business schools in Brazil. My mission is to ensure the successful delivery of projects by identifying, assessing, and mitigating the risks that may affect their procurement, design, construction, and commissioning phases. I also support the digital transformation and innovation initiatives by leveraging my expertise in technologies. I am passionate about creating value and excellence for the community, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance my performance and capabilities. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and I value diversity, collaboration, and innovation in my work environment.
