Marco is an entrepreneur, adviser, investor and professor with a career of over 30 years spanning the development and financing of renewable and clean energy technologies.He invested in and developed IPPs at GE in the 1990s. He founded Power Capital - a pioneering advisory firm with mandates won of over $10 billion - in 1997 and has also been a non-executive director of several energy projects and start-ups.He co-founded Infrastructure Journal (IJGlobal) in 1997 and sold it in 2007. He co-founded inspiratia - a provider of data and analytics to infra and energy sectors - in 2010, and now acts as its Chairman.He is a Senior Adjunct Professor of Energy Resources and Environment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, where he also serves on the European Advisory Council.In 2019 he took up the challenge of accelerating decarbonisation by teaming-up with his former student Chris Jackson - founder of Protium, as its CIO, to pioneer the deployment of distributed green hydrogen infrastructure, starting in the UK and moving internationally.
