About Marco Piredda

Marco is Senior Vice President at Eni, in charge of political scenarios, business development support and other Public Affairs tasks (energy policy analysis, relations with foreign institutions, economic and financial sanctions, etc.). He earned a BA degree in Political Science at the LUISS University of Rome and holds a PhD in Constitutional Law from the University of Bologna. He studied at the London Business School, the University of Oxford, the University of Bremen, the London School of Economics, the European Institute of Public Administration (Maastricht), the National School of Administration (Rome). Prior to joining Eni, Marco worked for six years for the Italian Treasury (Ministry of Economy and Finance), as Director of the Unit in charge of legal international cooperation, managing several EU-funded projects on economic regulation (in the Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey, Romania, Lithuania). He joined Eni in 2008 to work in the External relations and communication Department. Then he worked in the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Department and in the Public Affairs Department, focusing on government affairs and energy sector legislation, in Italy and worldwide: as head of Eni’s legislative office, he has covered several regulatory dossiers, including economic and financial sanctions. He is head of Internations Affairs Analysis & Business Support, which includes the responsibility for international legislative affairs, political scenarios and relations with Government authorities.
