Senior international development professional with over fifteen years of working experience with international NGOs, networks, Public & Private Institutions. Almost ten years spent in the field in several Sub-Saharan Africa countries (Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, S. Sudan, Uganda, Burundi, Mali, Ethiopia, Liberia). Excellent knowledge of the African context, not simply limited to sociopolitical, legal and cultural aspects: bilingual Italian-Kiswahili. Sound proficiency in project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation, researches. Strong experience in setting up multi-countries programmes (recruitment of local personnel and consultants, drafting contract with local authorities, setting up logistical arrangements) and in procedure for handover to local authorities. Strong ability in interacting with multiple partners at all levels (local authorities, religious authorities and Dioceses, Community Based Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, International NGOs, Donor community and Aid agencies). Good experience in project proposal writing for several donors and in financial and narrative reporting procedures and in Monitoring and Evaluation. Excellent knowledge of the policy and advocacy environment at Italian, European and International level: policy analysis, aid effectiveness, governance, Universal Health Coverage, financing for health and tracking of ODA flows, private sector.
