About Marcus Gwyn-Neumann

I started working in audio postproduction for television and film at The Dark Studio Sound Company in Toronto during the summer of 2017. At the time I was a student at Queen's University, studying in The Department of Film and Media. Between semesters I would return home to hone my skills as a sound effects editor. Once I finished my degree, I took on a full-time position at The Dark Studio and began expanding my skill set, learning how to edit dialogue and music, as well as mixing for clients at the studio. I have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from documentary to drama. My most notable contributions so far have come in the thriller TV series Paranormal Nightshift (2020), Hotel Paranormal (2020) and Haunted Hospitals (2018), the documentaries Coppers (2019) and #Blessed (2020), and in the iconic History Channel show American Pickers (2010). In addition to audio post, I am a passionate music composer. I've composed original soundtracks for various short films, including The Writer (2022) which was recently screened at one of Hollyshorts' Monthly Screenings, as well as original music outside of film.
