About Margaret Toth

I am a professor of film and literature, with a focus on issues of gender, sexuality, race, and social justice. I have published widely on both literature (particularly American women's writing) and film (film noir, adaptation studies, etc.). I have received multiple grants and fellowships to accomplish this work and therefore have experience writing successful grants. I am also highly experienced in editing. While I have been in higher education for over a decade-I not only teach but also founded and direct the film studies program at my college-I have recently started working toward publishing my fiction. I am working on a speculative feminist novel set in near-future Hollywood and short fiction. I am seeking ways to use my existing skills (writing, editing, film studies, research, etc.) in new and exciting ways.
