About Marion Doherty

I work with companies of various sizes and from multiple sectors but I do lead on infrastructure and energy in the West Midlands region. As your dedicated International Trade Adviser I can offer the following support: • Development of long term international sales and marketing plan; • Help with market selection processes; • Product development for new markets; • Selection, appointment and motivation of agents/distributors; • Identification of potential overseas Clients • Drafting of agent/distributor agreements; • Export Documentation • Access to funding opportunities As well as my adviser role I have also led missions / groups of companies to the following exhibitions; Eurasiarail in Turkey, Innotrans in Berlin, Trako in Poland and Hong Kong Interiors and have also taken companies on a scoping visit to China. I also led a group of Aerospace companies to Aero India to explore new opportunities. I organised a visit to the Nordic Rail Exhibition in Sweden, visiting with a group of companies from different UK regions & facilitated a programme of meetings with potential clients, arranged by colleagues in the Embassies in the Nordic regions. I also regularly present at events and seminars. On top of working with and Account Managing a large number of companies I am also developing a programme for Trako Rail Exhibition in Poland in September which will facilitate meetings for our companies with International buyers and DIT Commercial Officers from all over the world. Also looking at opportunities for companies at Ausrail to compliment the exhibitor support being offered by the Rail Industry Association.
