About Mark Chin

An experienced professional within the fields of Project Management, Subcontract Management and Systems Engineering, I have a demonstrated history of working at Denmark’s leading technology companies in the Aerospace/Defence, Networking Equipment and Industrial Automation/SCADA industries. As Project Manager/Systems Engineer, my professional focus has been the development of advanced, specialized electronics systems (hardware and software), in mission-critical settings. These range from road-traffic classification systems, to Ethernet routers, to multi-user, distributed naval command-and-control systems, to missile-launch computers. As Subcontract Manager, my focus has been on managing Supply Chain risk for project-specific, high value/high-complexity goods and services from suppliers. Typical examples of such goods and services are advanced electronics (e.g, military radar systems), software (including licensing agreements) and specialized services (e.g, shipboard systems commissioning, marine engineering and electromagnetic analysis, measurement and testing), from multinational defence/aerospace companies. I also have comprehensive experience with Software Engineering, including data communications (serial and Ethernet). I have strong skills particularly in embedded, multi-threaded C/C++ in RTOS environments. In addition, I have experience with designing database back-ends (Microsoft Access and SQLite) and with GUI design (Qt, Microsoft Visual Studio). Throughout my career, I have also provided essential input to sales proposals: requirements analyses, initial design, project planning, estimation of effort and cost, risk analyses, safety analyses etc. I enjoy working in a busy, international, cross-disciplinary environment, where I can contribute with the full breadth of my experience, and where there are opportunities for learning and further personal development.
