About Mark Emdin

With nearly 30 years of international experience, I bring a rare mix of rigour, warmth and practical insight to the complex work of aligning leadership, structure and culture. As a consultant, facilitator and team coach, I specialise in untangling organisational complexity, redesigning operating models and enabling senior teams to perform at their best so that strategy can truly happen. I am a founding partner of Ammalo, working with organisations such as Sandoz, Unilever, Shell, Fonterra, Royal Canin, Novartis and KPN — leaders navigating major transitions, growth challenges, taking teams to the next level or systemic dysfunctions that require both structural redesign and deep behavioural change. Previously, I held a variety of international leadership roles at Shell and ran my own consulting practice in Amsterdam. I hold a Masters in Leadership & Management and advanced certifications in Hogan Assessments, Kantor Structural Dynamics, ORSC and executive team coaching (Hult Ashridge). I am also a Master Practitioner and Faculty member for the 6 Team Conditions framework, and co-author of the Team Diagnostic for Startups, a tool used by founders and investors to assess and accelerate team performance. Alongside my consulting work, I serve on the board of the Organisation Development Network Europe (ODNE) and lead workplace learning at easylaughs, an Amsterdam-based improv and stand-up comedy school—because some of the most powerful leadership lessons emerge when we navigate the unexpected.
