About Mark Frein

Over a 25 year career, I've been a CEO, COO, and CHRO. I've carried significant responsibilities for revenue as a consulting professional and General Manager, and set up financial systems in a number of firms. I have built multiple functions in hypergrowth startups, and have seen the ups and downs and everything in-between in the tech sector. I have successfully scaled headcount and processes in venture-backed rockets. I have particularly strong experience from the 10m to 200m ARR "second booster" stage. I know an awful lot about PeopleTech/HRTech and EdTech products. I also have been-there-done-that knowledge of global human resources and employment practices. I've spent a good portion of my work life as a "remote worker" and have written and spoken frequently about workplaces and their challenges - in-person, hybrid and distributed. Deep down, and under all of that, I'm a father, a spouse, a teacher, a musician, a philosopher, and a leader that strives to bring transparency, empathy, and fairness to the work-world in whatever ways I can.
