About Mark George

I am passionate about transport infrastructure and how it plays a critical role in building communities. I have the pleasure of working with likeminded clients, partners and GHD staff in creating lasting community benefits both in Australia and overseas. My background is within the geotechnical field, working across the globe, investigating and advising on ground related risks, and the ground beneath my feet still is a fascination. I've been fortunate to have been involved in the development of the Sydney Metro project since inception in 2011. This included the development and construction of the Metro Northwest, the design and construction of the stations on City and Southwest and tunnelling and stations on Metro West. As GHD's relationship manager for Transport for NSW, my work involves interfaces across all our service areas, to support our clients with a whole of project delivery solution. My enthusiasm for connecting people, seeing how ideas and innovation can solve problems, drives me to bring the best from our teams, and improve success on major transport projects.
