About Mark Goblowsky

Keep the Faith - Love Wins. I have been teaching Kung Fu for over 35 years, and have helped thousands of students. Many with dramatic and tragic stories, but more with the regular trials and tribulations that come along with growing up in the world. I’ve equipped them all with the tools to overcome their fears and become self-confident humans. I can tell you first hand that kung fu is not just about kicks and punches. The mat is a mirror, and when you step onto it, whatever is going on in your life will reflect right back at you. Sometimes it’s not exactly what we want to see, but it always demands attention. Like a certain Liam Neeson character, I have a very particular set of skills - and they aren’t all based around fighting. These skills were developed as I navigated my way through difficult events in my own life. My son suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when he was just 3 years old. It was a terrifying time, not knowing if he would survive…and when he did, what kind of life he might lead. The principles that I learned through Kung Fu helped me find inner strength and resilience, even in the face of such adversity. It's not just a physical practice, but a mental and emotional one as well. Just one last thing…. Team Miagi-Do!
