CEOs must be strategic visionaries. Great CEOs consistently look to the future so that their organization is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of their bright future. Making that strategic vision a reality requires that a CEO continually improve their leadership abilities. As the CEO of TRI HoldCo, Inc. and TaxAudit, I learned what it truly means to be a leader. Building successful teams and seeing those around me accomplish their goals was gratifying and contributed to our achievements as an organization. I’ve seen the value that Vistage membership can bring to CEOs who want to invest in themselves. Prior to becoming a Vistage Chair, I experienced Vistage’s unique approach as a member. I took my business to the next several levels and successfully implemented a succession plan which allowed me to turn over the reins at the end of 2020. I certainly experienced the 3 to 10X ROI that Vistage members receive on their investment. As a Vistage Chair, my goal is for my group members to experience that same transformational growth, enabling them to develop as authentic leaders and lead meaningful lives while championing their company’s success. By providing a space where CEOs and business owners can collaborate openly and figure out what they want to achieve in their professional lives and what is standing in their way, they too will transform their business and leadership abilities. As Albert Pine proclaimed, “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” Outside of supporting leaders in their professional growth, I enjoy traveling, exploring both this country and the rest of the world with my wife. I found that I am my most genuine self when I am in my boat out on the water in my boat. When you are committed to improving yourself, you improve those around you.
