About Mark Perkins

With over 25 years experience in IT, I have worked in a diverse range of roles in both private enterprise Data Centres for a major financial institution, the largest Australian owned outsourcing company and for NSW Government shared services providers. I progressed from mainframe system operator / administrator roles through to Data Centre coordination and Management before consulting in Disaster Recovery for assorted clients. I have been contracting to Transport for NSW as their GovDC Facilities Manager, responsible for capacity and availability management and governance over the assorted infrastructure support contractors at the two remote Blade-Room data centre environments. In October 2021 I will be returning to a public service role with the Department of Customer Service, supporting the Whole Of Government agencies within the GovDC environments. I am an aspiring audiophile and home theatre enthusiast with a movie collection somewhat resembling a Video-Ezy outlet. Other interests revolve around motorcycling, sports, photography and like many Australians travel within our country and overseas when we're permitted.
