I’m Markeia Warren, a nonprofit professional passionate about building inclusive communities, creating access, and driving lasting impact through development and strategic engagement.Currently, I serve as a Development Associate at ICAN California Abilities Network, where I lead fundraising campaigns, cultivate donor relationships, and support programs that empower adults with disabilities to thrive. From designing creative peer-to-peer campaigns to securing in-kind and corporate sponsorships, I thrive at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and community connection.My background includes working directly with youth and families as a College Corps Fellow, supporting students with special needs, and engaging parents through workshops at Westside Regional Center. I’ve also led youth empowerment efforts as a Core Organizer with California Youth Connection, where I coordinated outreach across the state and built leadership opportunities for current and former foster youth.In addition to my professional work, I serve on the Board of Directors for Phi Lambda Rho Sorority, Inc. as Director of Academic Affairs, where I oversee academic standards, support chapter success, and promote educational excellence among members nationwide.I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Administration at CSULB with a concentration in Development, with long-term goals of leading sustainable fundraising efforts that fuel equity-focused missions.Let’s connect especially if you’re passionate about equity, community, and meaningful collaboration.
