Background
About Martin Long
My career as a professional marketer and educator has spanned more than 50 years and a fair bit of geography. It is now 'me time' and I have decided to retire from organised work. I would like to thank all my business colleagues and friends. Many of you have provided brilliant support over the years. I would like to thank all my graduate students from APM Training Institute through ICMS and now Kaplan. I wish you all well in your business and personal lives. My work leading a team at Kelman Vineyard as Chair of the Executive Committee resulted in the highest sales and profit ever and I leave that to incoming people to maintain and build on. I will remain living at Kelman. I am particularly proud of the other volunteer work I have done over the years, most of all as Marketing Director of the 2001 Scout Jamboree at Cataract Park. Our team won awards for that and it made a profit! Over the next few months I will wind down my LinkedIn activities. If you want to stay in touch, message me. For me, retirement from organised work will give me more time to travel, write and spend time with my family.
