Background
About Martin Murphy
I’m a published playwright My most recent play The Ghost of White Hart premiered at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last summer before an award winning run at Underbelly Edinburgh where it received numerous 4 & 5 star reviews from publications including The Times. The play is set for a London run at Jacksons Lane theatre this July. For young audiences my work includes the Jonny Feathers the Rock & Roll Pigeon which opened at Park Theatre where it was nominated for several Off West End Awards before transferring to Riverside Studios. I have two decades experience providing drama workshops for young people. I am a playwright mentor for National Theatre working on their New Views playwriting festival with young writers all across the country. I’m also a freelance artist for Create, a charity who provide access to the arts to those who might otherwise not get the chance.
