About Mathieu Besson

Currently operating on mission in Mayotte for Acted, I am responsible for the development of new projects in the post-emergency and reconstruction phases, as well as the MEAL monitoring of activities. Skills developed during my missions in Uzbekistan and Mayotte (2024-2025)- Contractual project management, including report preparation- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL): beneficiary database management, MEAL framework monitoring, setting up and conducting needs assessments and follow-up surveys- Communication: monitoring of social networks and creation of communication materials in French and English- External relations with various partners and donors, such as EuropeAid, SDC, USDRL, USAID and various foundations- Development and/or monitoring of development aid projects (e.g. gender equality, biodiversity protection, access to water resources, support for education, support for MSMEs) and emergency/humanitarian aid projects (e.g. Water, Hygiene and Sanitation; Food Security and Livelihoods)- Management: assistant/trainee supervision- Professional skills in English (C1) and French (native), with intermediate proficiency in Russian (B2).
