About Matt Buttigieg

Chartered structural engineer with over 8 years experience in the design and investigation of bridge and transportation related structures. I have been involved in many challenging and award winning road, rail and pedestrian bridge projects in Victoria and throughout Australia. My design experience includes a broad range of bridge types from simple super T-beams and steel girders to more complex concrete and steel box girders to cable stayed bridges. I also have experience with more complex forms of construction including incrementally launched method and segmental construction staging analysis. I have extensive experience in several structural analysis and FEA software packages. In addition to my core technical skills, I also prepare proposals, manage and lead projects. Specialties: Structural design, bridge design, transport infrastructure, reinforced and prestressed concrete, rail & road projects, bridge inspections, load ratings, report writing, brownfields projects, concept development, marketing, Microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint, project).
