About Matt Strack

A day does not go by where I don’t appreciate video arts. The editing, cinematography, or music of TV shows, movies, and trailers. The exciting and engaging talent of a YouTube channel telling a beautiful story to under subscribers. With everything out there, it drove me to try my hand at them all. I consider myself a ‘video generalist’ or ‘video artist’ since I rarely fit into one specific role. I began my professional career editing car commercials for local dealerships. I then stepped into freelance where I worked with larger agencies but also small independent game developers to make their projects known to a wider audience. During this time I wore many hats, learned to work with a team, and manage each project in a timely manner. These prepared me for my role as Multimedia Specialist for Raven Software, where I specialize in video editing, motion graphics, animation, visual effects, sound design, and game capture. Some highlights from Raven include: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Knowledge of Maya and Marmoset for end-to-end 3D rendering. Knowing each of these programs allows me to easily facilitate projects creatively and in a timely manner. Understanding of timing of events within video and ability to choose assets from a library to best fit the current project. I have edited television and digital ads full-time while maintaining several personal video projects like video game trailers and skits. Experience combining editing with motion graphics, compositing, and animation to create short and long-form projects. Additional knowledge in video game capture and live-action directing. Professional experience creating advertisement videos and motion graphics.
