About Matteo Falappa
I pursued my Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and the University of Genoa, where I worked on projects involving the study of sleep, circadian rhythm and neural circuits related to genetic disorders and drug administration by using different electrophysiological systems. I also hold a double M.Sc in Bioengineering (Neuroengineering curriculum) from the University of Genoa and a B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Marche. From these and other experiences, I have a proven ability to work in multicultural environments and to collaborate with people from different backgrounds since I had a continuous interface with very technical people (engineers and mathematicians) and experimental researchers (behavioralists, MDs or electrophysiologists) that strengthened my communication skills and allowed me to be an excellent translational communicator in complex projects.
