About Matthew Clarke

I am a committed and dedicated Urban Designer and Planner who is passionate about how well-designed places can foster community, sustainability and encourage active lifestyles. Throughout most of my career, I have worked in the new city of Milton Keynes where I have been fortunate to work on a wide variety of planning and built environment projects. This has developed my ability to work and interact as a team player in multi-disciplinary teams. I can lead on key projects managing conflicting demands and time pressures confidently. I have developed the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence a wide audience including professionals and lay people, as well as produce clear well-structured reports and design rationale.I have experience in the production of masterplans, design guidance including development frameworks & design codes through to approval. This requires the ability to research & understand a site and produce an appropriate design concept and solution.I am a competent user of graphics software including Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD.
