About Matthew Collings-Edwards

I am currently studying towards the ACA qualification at RSM as an Audit Assistant. I am a highly motivated and driven individual with strong interpersonal skills. I completed a Placement year at IBM in 2023 within the consulting side of the business, an unbelievable learning experience and opportunity to work at one of the biggest company’s in the world. In the summer of 2019, I was privileged enough to complete work experience at MarketAxess and Trax, where I gained first-hand insight into how the bond markets work through the online trading platform and how firms take out loans to invest in projects. Through valuable experience working as a lifeguard, I developed my communication skills with customers and team-working skills. I also developed a strong attention to detail supervising the pool and water quality, and time management skills as I balanced a part-time job, studying for a degree, and my commitment to sport. My main passions are rugby, tennis and swimming, which has developed my discipline and organisation skills, as well as my communication and teamwork skills. Between the ages of 13 and 17, I was a member of the Essex Rugby squad and Upminster Rugby Club. I also represented the Havering District football team as captain from 13 to 15 years old and have competed at regional level tennis tournaments since the age of 13. I belong to Cranston Park tennis club and have swam at Hornchurch Swimming Club. In the summer of 2019, I was part of The Campion rugby tour in Australia and New Zealand. I also enjoy watching my team West Ham, as a season ticket holder. In addition, I regularly go to the gym and look forward to playing club rugby in the upcoming season.
