About Matthew E. Essner

Working in the food arena for more than 15 years, I’ve experienced many facets of the industry to garner an understanding of what makes the food supply thrive. Specializing in the education segment of the food industry, my various roles began in the restaurant business, developed into owning a wholesale distribution company, then into government administration of food programs, then a sales manager for national food manufacturer, and now the nation's leading Child Nutrition technology company. Reading, associating, and learning from respected experts, keeps me up-to-date with trends and in tune with customers. Since I was young, I’ve always appreciated the opportunity to lead and enrich others in a purposeful way. As a teen I was a youth swim team coach and managed the civic swim lessons. Throughout college I participated in elementary tutoring programs and was an ambassador for the University to assist high school students with their college decisions. Throughout my professional career I’ve hosted training seminars for local, regional, state, and national audiences. These days I continue to provide training's for organizations and motivational weekly messages via the Monday Morning Ignition. Whether in a professional or personal setting; my eagerness to develop others does not have an off switch. I strive to be an open-minded solution finder seeking the positives in every situation. My objective is to provide value in any endeavor I pursue by giving 100% everyday.
