I am a well-rounded individual who takes opportunities given to me as well as seek other opportunities on my own. Since the age of 16 I have had the opportunity to work with many different groups of people, which has taught me to be adaptive to specific environments and tasks. Inclusive of this work involves road construction, where I was exposed to jobs such as road maintenance, site surveying, and road safety analysis. This practical knowledge has provided me with a good foundation of transportation engineering which I have applied to my civil engineering studies at the University of Canterbury, Since the beginning of 2019 I have been part of the consulting firm, GHD as a graduate transport engineer working in the safety maintenance and general civil team. Here I hope to apply my practical experience and knowledge obtained in the relevant courses at university to contribute to safer and more sustainable transport within Christchurch and the wider Canterbury area.
