About Matthew Platt
In 2024 I finalized the development and implementation of Qatar Foundation's (QF) Information Management program, and in 2025 I am completing QF's IM lifecycle journey by developing a digital archives preservation program, using my career-long skills and experience to achieve a meaningful change to how the Foundation manages its information over time. A strategic analysis of QF's complex business functions and activities, built on a strong framework of IM theory and practice enabled a practical implementation of OpenText and Preservica to serve the IM needs of QF's multiverse of activities. I am now expanding this experience to include corporate data lifecycle management, and the use of AI and other efficiency tools to improve security, access and retrieval of QF information. The work has challenged, capitalized and enhanced my information and data management skills and experience, confirming that a strong grasp of business, process and technology provides the tools for effective information governance.
